Therapies
The first session with our therapists
is an assessment session in which an agreed course of treatment will be
decided. Some therapies are not compatible and shouldnot be
undertaken at the same time. Aromatherapy and shiatsu are not compatible
and we will not offer these therapies to anyone at the same time as communication
& learning support.
Communication
& learning support
We have a special needs teacher
who sees children of all abilities in groups. Children with identified
learning problems can also access individual sessions.
The teacher will assess each
child and devise an individual education programme (IEP). We can
provide reports to parents on children's progress each term. Photo

sessions help to relax children and relieve many common ailments such
as colds, chest and ear infections etc. Aromatherapy can help
reduce spasms and muscle stiffness.

Individual sessions are available.
Physiotherapy

offers group or individual sessions. These sessions help children
who have difficulties with movement to function more independently. Parents
must be involved so they can implement the physiotherapy at homefor
children to gain the maximum benefit. Photo

Music
Music is beneficial to allchildren.
Many of our play sessions incorporate music. On the first Thursday
of every month between 4.30 to 5.30pm we have a special music session.
At this session everyone can sing, play, make loud and soft noises,
tuneful or not so tuneful but generally have fun. Some of the
instruments played are those made by the children with cardboard and
pieces of tape. Booking essential.
Play
Our playroom is a place where
anyone can drop in at any time we are open. You are welcome to
play and chat to other parents, our play worker and therapists. Photo

We have found over the years
that babies and very young toddlers welcome the quieter atmosphere of
the morning session on a Tuesday. Older children usually come
in the afternoons making it a busier time. After school is the
busiest time of the day with young people coming for various activities
and sessions.
Parents need to stay with
their children at all times while in the building. You can relax
with atea or coffee, for which we make a small charge. We also
provide healthy snacks for the children. Donations toward the
snacks arealways welcome.
Yoga
Yoga teacher Sara Kent runs Yoga4Kids classes at Palace on Saturdays.
See the
Yoga4Kids page. This is run privately by Sara and Palace
only provides the venue. This was in response to a request for a suitable
location for the classes in North London.
